Below, we talk to Plannerd on how the brand has been capturing the art of planning athrough their carefully thought designs and unique pieces.



How did Plannerd come about?

It began with 2 planner enthusiasts who were struggling to look for the “perfect planner” - one which is affordable and simple to use with functional layouts. Hence, we thought of creating our own! Here at Plannerd, we offer thoughtfully designed templates aiming to encourage the spark of creativity for modern individuals.




Why have you chosen the name Plannerd and how did it reflect your brand story?

The idea for the name “Plannerd” stems from the words 'planning' and 'planet'. It stands to represent a community that celebrates the art of productivity with creativity and uniqueness, all together summarised in our tagline: the planet for all things creative.



We wish that our customers would not have any pressure in filling up many tedious details in each template like we use to see, but rather providing them with the flexibility to doodle in whichever ways they like.


With so many stationery and planning products out there, what in your opinion, makes Plannerds products unique from the rest?

We strive to keep our products minimal yet affordable at the same time - which make us stand out from the rest. We ensure that our templates are crafted to prompt our users with huge flexibility to plan with their own styles. Our minimalistic design helps you in expressing your creativity while keeping things organised.


Our paper choice is also of high-quality and environmentally friendly hence providing our users with a smooth touch. Inter alia, our products are significantly affordable compared to other brands whilst still not compromising the standards and quality of our products.





What was a challenge you faced as a brand and how did you overcome it?

Since we’re a pretty new establishment to the stationery scene in Malaysia, currently we are trying to get more exposure of our products to more young adults in Malaysia.



You mention on your website that you aim to offer "thoughtfully designed templates"—can you share with us what makes for well-designed templates?

We believe that while certain planner junkies love to doodle around their planners, there are also some users who wish to have a planner that is quick to use and easy to get everything organised. Thus, our planners are designed with adequate space with templates to suit the best of both worlds.





What are your top 3 tips for creatives to stay productive during this CMCO?

  1. Always keep your workspace tidy and clean

  2. Jot your ideas down at all times

  3. Take some time to distant yourself from digital gadgets


What are some ways you can recommend your customers to use your products to maximize their benefits?

Utilise our planners together with the bullet journaling method to always keep your productivity on track!





We love how minimal and chic your planners look! Can you share what your creative process is behind making your products?

While we work on the designs and the overall concept of the planners, we want them to appear simple and clean, while keeping the functionality of the templates alive and minimalistic. We wish that our customers would not have any pressure in filling up many tedious details in each template like we use to see, but rather providing them with the flexibility to doodle in whichever ways they like. The templates were then being tested out by different users for weeks to months before they were finalised.



What are Plannerd's ultimate goals as a brand?

We hope that our products are able to inspire our community of users to utilise the art of planning to stay organised to achieve more!
