App Community Guidelines
Cult Creative is all about creating a platform that both connects and creates opportunities for creatives. That being said, it is also in our mission to create a safe space for creatives – so we have community guidelines to outline what we do and don’t allow on Cult Creative. These Cult Community guidelines help ensure our platform remains trustworthy, engaging and safe for all creatives.
If you see content that you think violates our guidelines, please follow the instructions in the 'Report Abuse' section below.
-
Respect each other
To protect our users and to create an environment that’s safe for everyone, we don’t allow abusive or illegal content or behavior. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
-
Spam or posts related to the sale of non-creative goods or services
-
Content or posts that are spamming, overly repetitive, soliciting or selling without the goal or intent of growing as a creative individual or creative entity
-
Hateful or highly offensive content that attacks or dehumanizes a group based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, serious disease or disability, gender, age, or sexual orientation
-
Fraud or scams
-
Pornographic material and explicit nudity
-
Harassment and threats
-
Violence or gore, and the promotion, glorification, or threats of violence
-
Illegal activities or goods
-
Self-harm or the promotion of self-harm
-
Depictions of minors, nude minors or minors in a sexual manner
-
Promotion of terrorism or violent extremism
-
Dissemination of misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive content that could lead to harm
-
Personal or private information of others (like full name, home address, phone number, email address, government issued IDs, or anything else that would let someone locate or contact you in the real world)
Cult Creative has a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech, discrimination of any kind and any behaviour that is harmful and highly offensive to the community. Cult Creative reserves the right to ban any users that demonstrate these behaviors, even on a first-time-offender basis.
2. Spam, deceptive practices, & scams policies
Cult Creative doesn’t allow spam, scams, or other deceptive practices that take advantage of the Cult community.
Don’t post content on Cult Creative including, but is not limited to, the following:
1. Content Spam:
-
Content that is excessively posted, repetitive, or untargeted and does one or more of the following:
-
Sends audiences to sites that spread harmful software, try to gather personal info, or other sites that have a negative impact.
-
Gets clicks, views, or traffic off Cult Creative by promising viewers that they’ll make money fast.
-
2. Non-creative information:
-
Our platform is tailored to creative content and opportunities. We do not tolerate information posted that is not related to creative goods and services.
3. Scams:
-
Content offering cash gifts, “get rich quick” schemes, or pyramid schemes (sending money without a tangible product in a pyramid structure).
4. Hateful Comments:
-
Comments that are disrespectful, highly offensive and have a negative impact on the community.
5. Repetitive comments:
-
Leaving large amounts of identical, untargeted or repetitive comments.
This policy applies to posts, projects, profiles, comments, and any other Cult Creative product or feature. Please note these policies also apply to Youtube links in your posts.
3. Support each other
Cult Creative strives to create a platform where all creatives feel celebrated and connected. We value criticism with the intention to better one another, but we ask that you criticise ideas (respectfully) and not people. We don't tolerate abusive, vulgar or insulting comments and messages.
4. Be authentic
The Cult Creative community is for creatives to showcase their authentic selves and to publicly share one’s own creative work. We disable accounts that engage in behaviour that compromises the authenticity of our community, including but not limited to, the following deceptive or harmful behaviours:
-
Using fake, misleading, or inaccurate information in your profile
-
Impersonating other people or companies
-
Falsely attributing someone’s work
-
Using automated or scripting processes (such as bulk or automated uploading of content through a script)
-
Engaging in schemes or third-party services to boost account engagement (artificially increasing the number of views, or other metrics)
Showcasing or uploading other people’s work as your own is copyright infringement and is not tolerated. If you aren’t sure whether your use of someone else’s content or trademark in your work is legal, you can talk to an attorney or consult publicly available reference materials at the following:
If you have a contract or other dispute with a Cult Creative user about content they have uploaded to our app, please resolve the issue directly with the user. We can't moderate contracts, employment, or other disputes between our users and the public.
5. Additional Guidelines

We offer a ‘Job Board’ section where creatives can discover career opportunities, ranging from full-time, part-time, contract, freelance & internship positions. The job board is intended only for offering employment openings or paid opportunities related to a creative field. You may not post:

Employers are also strictly not allowed to post job postings/vacancies on the feed page. Do note that this includes links to active job listings from other job platforms that are not Cult Creative.
Any postings in violation of the Community Guidelines may be removed without refund. For more information on job posting best practices and safety tips, please visit this Guide: Creating A Job Post on Cult Creative.
