When did your journey as a creative begin (both personally and professionally)?
Personally since I was 5, professionally since I was 18.
How would you describe your creative/artistic leadership?
Be clear on direction but encourage freedom to explore.
If there's something you noticed women creatives doing how would you advise them?
Start with the small things first, like taking initiatives to making new friends or saying no to that colleague whose always "asking" for your help in their work. Courage takes time so practice makes perfect.
What is your life ethos and how does it relate to your creative journey?
Think big, test small, fail fast, learn always. I was always told not to have big ideas because they will fail as we don't have resources. There's never enough resources, so I got out of my comfort zone and figure out how i could test in smaller bites with what I have. There will be mistakes and at times I failed, but I also learned a whole lot and never made the mistake ever again.
What was the most significant/impactful project for you thus far — why?
Definitely DressingPaula's IWD 2022 campaign. 100% of the collection will be donated to our partners. We were really impressed with our partners work to help women in need, whether it's safety or knowledge, and it is a total alignment with our company values. So we hope to help more women find their purpose through storytelling.
Please share with us who/what you are constantly inspired by.
Aside from being inspired by my girlfriends and the many women in my life, I have been really inspired by Yvon Chouinard and his wife, founders of Patagonia. They truly are the best of example of how you can do good (people & nature) and still do good business.
Who is someone you would love to collaborate with and why?
There are some great artist who are illustrators, photographers, and painters that not many people know about. We want to collaborate with them to see how we can further help expose them more to the public about their work.
