The Senior Public Relations Consultant is a key member of the Public Relations team who is responsible for the building of strong relationships with key media outlets, analysts, KOLs, and industry & community associates for the purpose of supporting the business’s product integrity. The Senior PR Consultant possesses knowledge of the product’s audiences and key issues, as such, guides engagement strategies and prioritization of outlets. The Senior Public Relations Consultant directly manages outbound engagements and relations, monitors PR activity, and makes reports on results, which he/she delivers to the Management team. In addition, the Senior Public Relations Consultant plays a pivotal role in the development of content that supports outbound engagements and communications such as pitches, press releases, infographics, presentations, blogs, briefing documents, social media, videos, and more.





Responsibilities


  • To champion, lead, manage and nurture the PR team in all aspects of the Company and industry practices.

  • To formulate PR plans, campaigns and strategies.

  • To manage media relations, requests, and to further develop and nurture key contacts within the industry.

  • To serve as a first contact person for all media queries.

  • To work on multiple Client accounts within a wide variety of industries/fields involving corporate reputation and/or brands.

  • To conduct research and analyse public opinion.

  • Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of PR campaigns and communicate insights to the Company.

  • To provide day-to-day Client account support and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • To collaborate with external stakeholders including public affairs offices, consumer organisations, and professional societies.

  • To keep work organised and updated.

  • To work with team members to develop and execute external communications strategies, programs and tactics for Clients.

  • To conduct industry research and present analysis succinctly and effectively.

  • To write, edit, develop, and proofread materials including press releases, briefing documents, coverage reports, pitch notes, fact sheets, reports, misc. industry relevant documents and Client correspondence.

  • To curate, implement and deliver social media content, art direction, captions along with new/ongoing campaigns on behalf of the Client/the Company.

  • To participate in new/existing business pitches, including research and proposal preparation.

  • To commit to continuous learning and improvement of skills; setting and pursuing stretch goals.

  • To ideate and execute integrated marketing, social media campaigns (brand ideation, influencer (KOL) management, a digital-first attitude and mindset.

  • To present solutions in times of PR crisis.

  • To carry out media monitoring digitally and physically.

  • To contribute to the overall business of the Company while providing support for the Company’s development of new business pipelines.

  • To carry out any ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company.

  • Championing the Company values and brand.

  • Working as a team to handle virtual or on-ground events (where applicable).


Must-haves

  • A suitable candidate for the position of Senior Public Relations Consultant must possess a minimum experience of 3 years in a progressive public relations position of a fast moving and dynamic business environment.

  • A suitable candidate will have had proven and successful experience in planning and managing multiple PR projects in a stressful environment or under tight deadlines.

  • The Senior Public Relations Consultant will also have had vast experience working with traditional PR channels as well as key social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.

  • A suitable candidate will have had proven successful experience working in a collaborative and cross-functional setting.

  • The candidate will also have a proven track record of successfully executed media strategies while working in a PR position.
