Sustainable Fashion Pieces at The Little Clothing Shop

Don't be fooled by their sweet whimsical designs - this local brand means serious business when it comes to ethical fashion.

They may call themselves Little but their goals in sustainable fashion are anything but. Designed and handmade in Kuala Lumpur, they proudly deem themselves an ethically produced zero waste clothing line; every piece cleverly designed so that no fabric is wasted in the process of making them.

What inspired you to start your brand?

A disdain for any kind of waste, especially textile waste. And a belief that fashion can do good, do better.

How has your brand changed since you started?

So much has changed and still is changing. Shifting our focus from kids-wear to adult clothing is just the beginning.

Always do it for the planet and the people before thinking about the profit.

Share an unexpected lesson you’ve learned from running your brand.

Getting the word out is not as easy as it seems. We are learning along the way. Hopefully we'll get there soon.

Are there any hurdles you’ve had to overcome?

Lots of fears. Impostor Syndrome, FOMO, fear of failure.

What are some of the brand’s core values that you’ve upheld since its inception?

Always do it for the planet and the people before thinking about the profit.
