Why did you name your restaurant after a popular childhood game?
When we were young, it was easier to meet new friends. We fall down and we get ourselves back up, and that’s the childhood spirit we wish to have.
Your Instagram page is very eye-catching! How does it play into your brand story?
We believe that people are drawn to and will seek real and touching stories; we can’t hide.
We want you to enjoy the real and original flavours, with ingredients that are mostly sourced locally.
We love the eclectic furniture pieces in your space -- what was the inspiration behind the decor?
We want to breathe new life to the unwanted old furniture according to our likings. Every era has its beauty, every home has its story. Plus, we are too broke to buy new furniture and considering we don’t know how long we can sustain our new place, it would just add to environmental pollution if we buy new furniture.
What do you want your customers to feel when they come to Hide and Seek Coffee?
We think the most important thing is the interaction with society nowadays. We are new to the industry and are still learning and observing but we want to build a community that is not just a regular F&B place. We want you to enjoy the real and original flavours, with ingredients that are mostly sourced locally.
What’s the secret to good coffee?
Understand what you do and practice them. And of course, brew with love.
